In my opinion if you own a V-rod put a set of these precision cut grills on, not only do the look great they will save your expensive radiator. I regularly remove rocks, sticks, leaves, and insects from the rad intakes, that is one of the reasons I was so surprised by the amount of debris that was lodged in places where I couldn't see or get to. Judging by the looks of my rad it has taken some direct hits from rocks over the years, luckily they didn't cause a leak but did leave dents in the fins, making it very clear that I should have put these on long ago.
