Saving money as a motorcyclist

Many people don't realise how much money you can save, if you change your mode of transport. Owning a motorcycle for example in this financial climate is cheaper than owning a car for many reasons.

Saving time - They say that saving time saves you money, and this is certainly the case with a motorcycle. When you ride on a bike instead of in a car, you can get from point A to point B quicker, with less queues in traffic jams. This means that you don't use as much fuel, which helps save money. Not to mention you get to spend more time on partypoker or other pastimes, instead of queuing.

Saving gas - As a motorcyclist you don't have to spend as much money on gas, as you would owning a car. In fact, a motorcycle can get as far as 70 miles before you need to refill the tank. Some can get as far as 100 miles, dependent on how recklessly you drive.

Gear - While it is important for you to get gear to wear that is the best quality, you don't necessarily have to pay the top price. You'll find that there are sales on motorcycle gear, that doesn't reflect on the quality of the product. Look on the internet and you'll find some very good deals, on quality gear that are brand new.

Cheaper - It's cheaper to run a motorcycle than it is a car. To buy a motorcycle in the first place is cheaper than buying a car. Not to mention it's less expensive to get a bike fixed than a car.

Entertaining - A motorcycle can save you money on entertainment too. There's nothing more thrilling than going for a ride on a motorcycle, when you are bored. It saves you spending money on cinema tickets, dinners and going on expensive holidays, when you could simply go for a ride to escape. Plus you never know what will happen while you're out.
